Take Steps to Fight the Flu!
The flu is a serious contagious disease and this flu season could be worse. There is a new and very different flu virus called novel or new H1N1 flu. This virus may cause more illness or more severe illness than usual. The CDC urges you to take the following steps to protect against the flu.
1. Wash your hands
2. Cover your cough
3. Stay home when you’re sick
4. Get vaccinated
Because flu viruses are easily spread among children, it is important to keep your child home when he or she is ill.
(Symptom-free siblings in the same household may be sent to school.)
If you have questions about sending your child to school, please contact your school nurse.
