Register for FREE Summer Camp!

RSU13 will be offering a federally-funded, FREE Summer Camp this summer.  This camp is funded through a 21st Century Learning Center grant. We hope to offer spots to students from more RSU13 schools in the future, but at this time funding is limited to the schools outlined in the grant for the 2019-2020 school year. Those schools are: South School, Oceanside Middle School and Oceanside High School.   This means the following students can apply for a spot in camp this summer:

Current K-5th at South School
Current 5th at TGS, Ash Point and Cushing.
Current 6th-8th at Oceanside Middle
Current 9th-12th at Oceanside High

The camp is July 8th - August 1st

Mondays-Thursdays (no camp on Fridays)

Camp hours are 12-5pm (parents must drop off and pick their students up, or students must have permission to walk).

Camp will take place at the former South School Campus at 100 Holmes St, Rockland and provide a free lunch.

Activities include cooking, art, sports, beach time, community walks, fun science experiments like making slime, playground time, gardening, group games and more.

High school students will register as a “CITs” (Counselors in Training) and get Community Service hours for helping elementary students play games, make slime, go to the beach, make art, read stories. By the end of the program they will have gained valuable leadership skills in working with youth that will look good on any college resume or job application. They will have also earned 80 Community Service hours toward graduation!
